According to reports, it appears that Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, had given a 'warning' to his father, King Charles, prior to his daughter Lilibet's second birthday on Sunday.
While King Charles was enthusiastic about lavishing his granddaughter with extravagant gifts, it seems that Prince Harry had different plans in mind.
Insiders, as mentioned in The New Idea, reported that King Charles was preparing a special surprise for Lilibet's birthday.
The monarch had intended to give his youngest granddaughter a heartfelt and meaningful present that she could cherish and call her own.
The publication revealed that the King had his aides searching for a custom-made cubby house, reminiscent of the ones Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret had during their childhood.
However, according to OK! magazine, Prince Harry had advised his father to refrain from being overly extravagant.
The source stated that Harry had warned Charles to tone down the lavishness of the gift. Meanwhile, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly celebrated Lilibet's birthday in California with an "all-American affair." Interestingly, it appears that the royal family overlooked the occasion and did not send any greetings to the young princess.
