Prince Harry's 'Self-Righteous Anger' Poses a Thorny Problem for the Royals

Prince Harry's 'Self-Righteous Anger' Poses a Thorny Problem for the Royals

Despite a week filled with significant royal engagements, Prince Harry managed to dominate the headlines, capturing the spotlight with his witness statement.

Royal expert Daniela Elser, in her commentary for News.com.au, pointed out that this week should have been a remarkable one for the royal family. However, the attention shifted as the Duke of Sussex took center stage, waging war against the British media.

Elser emphasized that Prince Harry's actions overshadowed the efforts of Princess Diana in her engagements, with his battle against the media capturing the attention of almost everyone except those in a vegetative state or secluded on a month-long monastic retreat.

According to Elser, there was only one royal story worthy of extensive discussion, and it had nothing to do with Kate engaging in caring activities in front of cameras. Previously, Russell Myers, Daily Mirror Royal Editor, mentioned how King Charles welcomed Kate as a trusted ally to enhance popularity with the younger generation. However, the king would be disheartened to see how his secret weapon failed to gain publicity in front of his younger son.

Elser described the situation in the press, suggesting that perhaps King Charles should have given everyone a week off and whisked them away for an all-inclusive beach break in Mallorca. Only then would people and the media have noticed the stack of unread newspapers piling up on the steps of Clarence House.

Continuing her commentary, Elser expressed doubt that anything other than Camilla announcing her departure from the royal scene to join an all-female community in the Pyrenees could have diverted attention from Harry's self-appointed Arthurian courtroom quest.

The royal expert asserted that Prince Harry's ongoing legal battles present a seriously thorny problem for Kate, Charles, Camilla, William, and anyone associated with the royal family. Their efforts to earn a living under the royal coronet are now affected by the immense focus on Harry's crusade.

Prince Harry's self-righteous anger has not only stolen the limelight from other royal engagements but has also become a significant challenge for the entire royal family, impacting their public image and raising concerns about the future.
