Prince Harry's Shock at Paparazzi Waiting During Secret Meeting with Caroline Flack

Prince Harry provided a candid account of a challenging period in his life during his testimony on Wednesday, June 7, in his legal battle against phone hacking. The 38-year-old Duke of Sussex opened up about his previous relationship with the late Caroline Flack, who tragically died by suicide in 2020.

According to Us Weekly, Harry asserted that the Mirror Group Newspapers unlawfully obtained pictures of him and those close to him, specifically recalling an incident from 2009 when paparazzi anticipated his whereabouts during an evening with Flack.

"I have vivid memories of this article and the accompanying photographs because, at the time, I was both shocked and furious. The two photographers from IKON Pictures somehow knew our location and were already there, waiting for us to arrive," Harry expressed.

He revealed that the photographers were hiding under a car and that he had encountered them on various suspicious and often dangerous occasions.

During the court proceedings, Harry described how he had invited Flack to his friend Mark Dyer's apartment for a casual poker night. "Caroline and I had been in touch for a few weeks. Considering her constant media scrutiny, we expected the gathering at Marko's place to be low-key and private," Harry explained.

He emphasized that it was only their second in-person meeting, and he believed that the only individuals aware of the plans were himself, Marko, and Caroline. While a few others were invited, Harry didn't believe they knew Caroline would be joining them.

Given the limited knowledge of their plans, Harry became highly suspicious and was convinced that someone had leaked the information to the press. He expressed anger, as he hadn't shared the details with anyone else.

"The evening was supposed to be an intimate affair between Caroline and me," Harry shared, reflecting on the impact such stories had on his relationships. "I couldn't underestimate the damage caused by these kinds of stories. I even started doubting those closest to me."

Harry now believes that the source of the leaked information might have been their voicemails, either his own, Marko's, or Caroline's. He acknowledged the profound effect such stories had on his relationships, leading him to doubt even those he trusted the most.

The Duke of Sussex and Caroline Flack had a brief romantic involvement in 2009 after being introduced by their mutual friend, Caroline Pinkham.
