Expressing her disapproval, Schofield criticized the decision made by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to withhold Prince Harry's visa details, even after his admission of drug use. According to the expert, despite the Duke of Sussex's openness about his drug use in his memoir, titled "Spare," it appears that the facts are not being properly verified.
Schofield called upon the officials to fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the immigration rules and visa policies of the United States.
Additionally, the royal expert mentioned that the Heritage Foundation (RHF) has urged US officials to release Prince Harry's immigration records. However, the request was rejected by the DHS.
In response, the department stated, "We don't see the value in it, we don't think it's interested and important to the public to know."
In a letter written by Jimmy Wolfrey, the Director of the DHS, it was stated that, "to the extent records exist, this office does not find a public interest in disclosure sufficient to override the subject’s privacy interests."
Furthermore, the right-wing Heritage Foundation (RHF) criticized the lack of transparency exhibited by US officials regarding the decision on Prince Harry's US visa, urging the administration of President Joe Biden to provide access to Prince Harry's immigration records.
