Known for having the final say when it comes to conflicts, Taylor has left a trail of clashes with celebrities like John Mayer, Joe Jonas, and Harry Styles.
According to Royal expert Dan Wooten, as mentioned in The Daily Mail, Taylor's apparent snub of Meghan during a Spotify podcast could influence Netflix to sever ties with the couple.
Taylor's reputation as a formidable force in the entertainment industry is well-known, and the Wall Street Journal's claim that she treated Meghan like an overeager fan might further sway Netflix's decision.
In fact, Netflix has already canceled at least one of Meghan's projects, according to reports. The outlet suggests that Meghan sent a letter to Taylor, inviting her to appear on the now-defunct podcast Archewell. However, Taylor not only declined the offer but also chose not to respond directly.
Instead, a representative delivered the rejection, as if Meghan's request was just another interview proposal among the numerous ones Taylor receives regularly from TV shows, podcasts, and tabloids.
This news about Taylor's rejection comes on the heels of Spotify's highly publicized termination of the Sussexes' podcast. The manner in which Spotify described their parting ways with Harry and Meghan could be considered one of the most stinging rebukes in the history of firings.
It appears that the couple may have angered someone significant. In an episode of their docu-series, "Megan and Harry," the Sussexes discussed the impact of online trolls on their mental health. Within that episode, they included a clip of Shallon Lester without her permission.
Lester, a former entertainment writer, expressed her bewilderment upon discovering her inclusion in the Netflix show. Outraged, Lester uploaded a video on her YouTube channel addressing the recent cancellation of Archewell. She unequivocally stated her intention to pursue every opportunity to hold Harry and Meghan accountable, emphasizing defamation, slander, mischaracterization, and misinformation.
During her recording, Lester took a few jabs at Meghan for her failed Spotify partnership. Lester criticized Meghan, referring to her as "The Duchess of reality TV show game show briefcase goal, whatever she thinks she's supposed to be," and highlighted the terminated deal between Meghan and Spotify, a supposed $20 million, 12-episode podcast venture.
With Spotify cutting ties, Lester claimed that everyone is now stepping forward to denounce the couple's work ethic, entitled and self-aggrandizing attitude, and overall unlikability. She even mentioned United Talent CEO Jeremy Zimmer, who had recently expressed skepticism about Meghan's podcasting attempt, stating, "I don't think they're that talented." Lester found it ironic that the head of a major talent agency would make such a statement despite "talent" being in the company's name.
After addressing the Sussexes' professional challenges, Lester returned to discussing her legal battle against them, describing their actions as defamatory and slanderous. She expressed her intention to pursue legal action against Meghan, Harry, and Christopher Bowes, CEO of Sentinels, for presenting unfounded statements as facts.
Lester passionately challenged anyone associated with the documentary to prove the existence of a shadow network as claimed. She criticized the couple's assumption of a global conspiracy against them and attributed their widespread dislike to their perceived sense of entitlement, paranoia, and self-victimization. Lester found their narratives boring, entitled, and cringeworthy, believing these factors to be the reasons behind their unpopularity.
