Charlie Sheen's Cocaine-Fueled Rampage: Trashing Room at Plaza Hotel, Say Sources

A disoriented and unclothed Charlie Sheen, just two months after leaving rehab, allegedly caused significant damage to his room at The Plaza Hotel early today. Authorities claim that Sheen, who had been partying with a prostitute, frantically searched for his wallet and cellphone, leading to a chaotic scene.

The hotel's security promptly contacted the police shortly after 2 a.m. upon receiving a call from a woman staying in the renowned Eloise Suite, according to sources. Upon entering the suite, law enforcement officers discovered tables and chairs strewn about the room, along with a damaged chandelier.

The reported cost of the destruction inflicted on the luxury suite amounts to approximately $7,000.

Sources indicate that Sheen's ex-wife, Denise Richards, who was occupying a separate room in the Eloise Suite on the 18th floor, accompanied the "Two and a Half Men" star to New York Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. However, Sheen was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday night and is scheduled to return to rehab.

According to sources, Sheen informed the police that he had consumed alcohol and snorted cocaine prior to the outburst. Nevertheless, Sheen's representative later claimed that the actor had been taken to the hospital due to an allergic reaction to medication.

The suite from where the call originated is named after the popular children's book character, Eloise, a young girl who resides on the top floor of the prestigious hotel.

Fortunately, Sheen did not sustain any injuries, but he voluntarily admitted himself to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

Sheen, aged 45, reportedly confessed to the police that he had been "out partying." After returning to his room accompanied by an unidentified woman, Sheen noticed his wallet and cellphone were missing, which enraged him.

A police official revealed that the woman found in Sheen's room was an escort. She had called the front desk from Room 1832, recognizable by its pink-and-white striped door, reporting that Sheen was unconscious on the bed.

Life & Style magazine, on its website, reported that the woman had been locked in a closet while screaming in fear for her life. A source shared, "She was fearing for her life and was n^ked. Charlie was incoherent but started screaming slurs at the cops. They recognized him immediately and gave him two options: they could take him to the hospital or take him down to the station. Charlie chose the hospital."

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne confirmed that no complaints were filed, and no arrests were made. Sheen was not expected to face any criminal charges.

Sheen was in town with his ex-wife Richards, aged 39, and their two daughters, who were also staying at the hotel.

TMZ.com Reported that Sheen had recently resumed drinking shortly after pleading guilty in his domestic violence case. Concerns were raised by his friends, who feared he was surrounding himself with negative influences. He was seen drinking at the Playboy Mansion in August.

While in New York City, Richards had been promoting her series "Blue Mountain State," and the family had attended a Broadway show, "Mary Poppins."

The incident involving Sheen was not brought up during an interview this morning on Howard Stern's satellite radio show on Sirius XM. Stern was unaware of the incident at the time, and Richards did not mention it either.

Regarding Sheen, Stern remarked, "Charlie is a very unique, colorful individual. A lot of men look up to him."

When Richards mentioned their time together in New York, Stern inquired, "Is it really comfortable?"

Richards laughed and jokingly replied, "It's been a very eventful trip."

It's worth noting that Sheen had a previous arrest in Aspen, Colorado last year following a fight with his then-wife, Brooke Mueller, during which she called 911, alleging that he had threatened her with a knife.

Sheen, who has admitted to past cocaine use and soliciting prostitutes, avoided jail time by agreeing to spend 30 days in a rehab facility as part of a plea deal.

Sheen has faced numerous personal struggles throughout his life. In 1996, he was charged with assaulting a girlfriend at his California home. He later pleaded no contest and received two years of probation.

Two years after that incident, his father, actor Martin Sheen, alerted the authorities after Sheen violated his parole by overdosing on cocaine, which led to a hospitalization. He was subsequently ordered to undergo a rehab program.
