Hollywood Rewards Meghan Markle & Prince Harry for Alleged Lies with Award Nomination

Hollywood Rewards Meghan Markle & Prince Harry for Alleged Lies with Award Nomination

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been nominated for a top award. Leave it to Hollywood critics to give them a nomination in the Best Streaming Non-Fiction category.

The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle series, which focuses on their lives while they moved to the US, has received this nomination. The announcement of the nominees was made by our nation's Twitter account. Notable presenters like Rainn Wilson, Dwight, and Eugene Levy are also on the list.

When the series was released on the streaming service, it caused quite a stir with three episodes premiering on December 8th, followed by three more the next week. In total, the series consisted of six episodes, clocking in at approximately six hours.

It featured moments of Meghan shedding tears, discussions by Harry about the lack of guidance following his mother's death, and interviews with family, friends, journalists, and historians. The program has gained attention, with some Twitter users expressing support and excitement over the nomination, considering it an honor for Meghan and Harry.

However, there's an interesting twist to this news. While the Hollywood critics recognized the series, the Emmys did not. The six-part documentary series did not receive a nomination for Outstanding Documentary or Non-Fiction series. This oversight is particularly notable given the high viewership numbers it garnered on Netflix, ranking second in terms of minutes watched for any documentary program on the platform, just behind the Tinder Swindler. Although the series achieved significant ratings, it appears that it didn't resonate with everyone.

While the Hollywood critics seem to admire Harry and Meghan's series, the Emmys, the authority in Hollywood, didn't acknowledge it. It's worth noting that the Emmys can be viewed as a popularity contest, and this time, they were not convinced. Bravo to the Emmys for not falling for it! However, it seems that the Hollywood critics' association was willing to embrace the series.

It's interesting to see the varied reactions to this award nomination. Many people responded negatively, with 98% of respondents in a poll stating that Harry and Meghan's Netflix show should not win the Hollywood Critics Award for Best Non-Fiction. Piers Morgan, in his usual style, sarcastically congratulated Meghan and Harry for being nominated for an award for "trashing their families on TV." Others pointed out that the series didn't receive any Emmy nominations, making the Critics Choice nomination seem like a smokescreen.

Additionally, there have been reports of resignations from the Hollywood Critics Association, indicating internal turmoil within the organization. This has raised questions about the credibility of the association and its decision-making process.

While the Hollywood critics have recognized Harry and Meghan's series, the Emmys have withheld their acknowledgement. The divergent reactions to this award nomination and the Emmys' snub add an interesting dynamic to the situation.

Following internal restructuring and accusations of racial bias, the announcement was made after Fowler made public allegations against the executive and team board, suggesting they were a racially discriminatory organization. With this context, it seems that the organization felt compelled to nominate Meghan Markle. One can't help but wonder if Meghan exerted some influence or made it known that she expected a nomination. Given the sensitive topic of racial bias, it's possible she may have hinted at it, wondering if her nomination was influenced by her race. It's an amusing thought, at least to me.

This nomination by the Hollywood Critics has created quite a buzz, garnering even more attention than Meghan might have desired. It's almost perfect in its irony. I can't help but wonder how much Harry and Meghan's Netflix deal may have played a role in securing the nomination, though I won't outright claim they paid for it. However, it wouldn't be surprising if there were financial considerations involved.

The critics' nomination has sparked sarcastic comments and raised questions about the credibility of the HCA Awards. Some have humorously suggested that their cat could curate a better non-fiction streaming category by using their litter box. The nomination has led to a sentiment that the HCA Awards may not be taken seriously in the future.

Furthermore, there's been criticism regarding the documentary's usage of images. The non-fiction series featured paparazzi shots that aimed to portray the intensity of media scrutiny on Harry and Meghan. However, it has come to light that some of the images used were not even of them, but rather from different events involving other individuals. This aspect warrants its own video discussion, which we'll be covering on the Royals channel soon.

In the end, while Harry and Meghan may have received a Hollywood award nomination, they were ultimately snubbed by the Emmys, an award that holds greater significance in the industry. The dichotomy between the two has been noted, and it appears they didn't receive the recognition they desired from the prominent award institution.
