King Charles Afraid to Speak to Prince Harry Due to Book Exposure Fear

Reports suggest that King Charles is cautious about engaging in conversations with Prince Harry, as he fears that anything he says could potentially be disclosed in a future bestselling book.

Prince Harry's explosive memoir, "Spare," was published earlier this year, and despite efforts to mend their relationship, the fallout and lingering effects from the book continue to weigh heavily on Charles.

According to OK magazine, King Charles remains wary of any interaction with Harry, concerned that it might serve as material for another book. Earlier this year, Harry himself claimed to have enough material for two books, although there is currently no indication of a sequel being in the works.

The media outlet suggests that the monarch oscillates between hurt and fury over his youngest son's monetized indiscretions, referring not only to "Spare," but also to Harry and Meghan's self-titled docu-series and their media appearances to promote both projects.

While there seems to be love on both sides, Royal expert Daniela Elsa noted that there is only a tiny glimmer of hope for father and son to reconcile. Even though OK claims that Harry was less critical of his father in the documentary and barely mentioned the newly crowned sovereign in "Spare," the publication argues that Harry's criticisms of Queen Camilla struck a nerve with the king, provoking his annoyance.

According to Elsa, there is another significant factor preventing King Charles or anyone with an HRH title from reaching out to the Sussexes. Even if Charles were willing to overlook the damage Harry did to Camilla's reputation by portraying her as the evil queen without the apple, there is the matter of the hurt caused by Harry's remarks against Camilla, prior to her becoming Charles' archenemy, and his beloved late mother, Princess Diana.

OK magazine previously reported that Charles was deeply hurt by the remarks and accusations made against Camilla. A friend of Camilla questioned, "How does she get past that? It's one thing to insult your stepmother in front of family members or in private, but to include it in a book that is closing the sales gap with the Bible." The report also suggests that Prince William shares his father's inclination for bitterness and resentment, evident in his desire to maintain his feud with Harry.

Reconciliation between the brothers seems unlikely without the intervention of their late mother, Princess Diana. According to Royal authority Jenny Bond, Diana was a devoted mother, and her sons meant the world to her. It is believed that her greatest wish would have been to reunite with her boys and find a way to mend their estrangement.

However, Royal author Tom Quinn notes that reconciliation is unlikely to occur without her, as there is significantly more private rage than what is seen publicly. Additionally, none of them seem willing to accept responsibility for their actions.

According to a friend of the king, the family is known for being obstinate. The friend stated, "They are a very obstinate family." Charles firmly believes he has nothing to apologize for. On the other hand, Harry appears less interested in fame, the spotlight, and even writing a second book, according to The Mirror. Culture and brand specialist Rochelle White opines that Harry has never seemed to truly enjoy the celebrity life. In her opinion, she can envision him working on and engaging in activities that hold more meaning and enjoyment for him.
