King Charles Rejects Prince Harry's Invitation, Duke Plans New Book with No Way Back

Despite King Charles and Prince Harry meeting since the surprise publication of Harry's memoir last January, lingering effects and fallout from the book continue to loom large for Charles.

Reports suggest that the monarch remains cautious about any encounter with Harry, as it could potentially be used as material for a future book.

Earlier this year, Harry himself hinted at having enough content for two books, although there is currently no confirmation on this. However, rumors suggest that a follow-up book is in the works.

The monarch oscillates between feelings of hurt and anger regarding the monetization of his younger son's actions. This not only refers to Harry's memoir but also the six-part documentaries and media interviews conducted by Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, to promote their various projects.

According to royal expert Daniela Elsa, there is only a small glimmer of hope for a full reconciliation between father and son, despite the presence of love on both sides. However, Harry's attacks on Queen Camilla struck a nerve with the king and served as a surefire method of incitement, as the outlet reports.

Even if Charles were willing to overlook the painful affront to his wife's reputation, portrayed by Harry as the wicked Snow White Queen without an apple, another major factor prevents any meaningful communication between the king and the Sussexes: the fear that it could all end up as material for a future bestseller, Elsa explains.

Previous reports indicated that Charles was deeply hurt by the comments and allegations made against Camilla, who was once Charles's sworn enemy and played a significant role in Harry's beloved mother, the late Princess Diana's life.

Regarding Camilla's response to the situation, a friend stated that it is one thing to criticize your stepmother privately or during a family argument, but it's quite another to include her in a book that will be widely circulated. As for Harry, the Duke also seems to share his father's penchant for bitter resentment, evident in his strained relationship with Prince William and his determination to maintain his viewpoint.

The only person who could have handled the bitter feud between the brothers, Diana, was an absolutely devoted mother, and her children meant the world to her, as noted by Royal expert Jenny Bond. It is likely that in her absence, there will be no reconciliation.

People working closely with William and Kate have expressed privately that the rift will never be resolved. There is a lot more anger within the family than what is shown publicly, especially concerning the accusation that William physically assaulted Harry, as mentioned in the memoir.

William appears to be angry, and the entire family is known for their stubbornness, with no one willing to extend an apology, according to one of the king's friends. Charles himself believes he has nothing to apologize for.

However, it seems that Harry, in his reflection, is less interested in fame, the limelight, or even writing a second book. Harry has never sought the spotlight, according to culture and brand expert Rochelle White.

Looking at his past behavior, it's evident that he is not a fan of celebrity life and is more likely to focus on projects that hold personal meaning and bring him joy. While it's uncertain if these projects will be passion-driven, it appears unlikely that they would revolve around fame.
