Meghan Departs Court in Distress as Shallon and Sam Unite for Defamation Lawsuit

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may face another legal battle as YouTuber Sean Lester plans to file a defamation lawsuit against the Duchess of Sussex.

This comes in addition to a defamation lawsuit previously filed by Meghan's sister, Samantha Markle, which Meghan is attempting to have dismissed. The lawsuit stems from allegations of slander made against Harry and Meghan in their Netflix show.

Shallon Lester, a YouTuber with 350,000 subscribers, claims that she was misrepresented in a clip from her channel that briefly appeared during a segment about online trolls in Meghan and Harry's show.

Although Lester's name is flashed on screen, she is never mentioned by name in the show. It remains unclear what point Lester was making in the clip, as it cuts away before providing further context. During an interview with Christopher Boozy, a data analyst for Umbod Sentinel, Lester's name was not explicitly mentioned.

Boozy explained that the online campaign against Meghan was orchestrated by people who are not the typical "trolls," including housewives and influencers.

Samantha Markle, in a YouTube video, mentioned her surprise at seeing her own picture and video briefly appear on screen during Meghan and Harry's Netflix documentary. She expressed her belief that the show portrayed her in a negative light and referred to a group of housewives and influencers who were orchestrating a campaign against Meghan and Harry.

Samantha also suggested that she has faced emotional and mental distress as a result of televised tell-alls, and she questioned Meghan's previous statements about paying for her college education.

Prince Harry and Meghan welcomed their son Archie in 2019 and their daughter, named Lilibet Diana, in 2021. In 2020, the couple announced their decision to step back from their roles as senior members of the royal family and relocated to California.

Since 2019, Harry and Meghan have been involved in several lawsuits against media organizations in both the UK and the US, seeking accountability for privacy breaches and false reporting.
