Royal Family's reunion at Balmoral Castle this summer won't include Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. King Charles has reportedly decided not to invite the Sussexes to the Scottish residence. The gathering is expected to include Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, King Charles, and Queen Camilla.
Royal correspondent Richard Palmer shared his doubts about Harry and Meghan's presence, especially after Harry's revelation in his book "Spur" earlier this year that his father instructed him not to bring Meghan to Balmoral when visiting the late Queen Elizabeth last September.
Traditionally, the royal family engages in group activities like fishing and shooting on the estate grounds during their time at Balmoral, which has been owned by the Royals since 1852. King Charles is expected to continue this tradition after August 16, when the estate closes to the public, and will stay there throughout September.
Reports suggest that Meghan had received a lifetime ban from King Charles, preventing her from ever going to Balmoral. The situation became apparent when Harry was asked not to bring Meghan with him during his visit after Queen Elizabeth's passing.
Harry mentioned in his memoir that his father's reasons for the request were nonsensical and disrespectful. However, King Charles remains firm in his decision, causing further tension within the royal family.
