It appears that Prince Harry's streaming endeavors have now become exclusively focused on Netflix, following the mutual decision to part ways with the music streaming service, Spotify.
Netflix, which previously aired the explosive 2022 documentary "Harry and Meghan," has reportedly pitched an idea for another show specifically centered around Prince Harry himself.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the film and TV production company was planning to finalize a $100 million deal with both Harry and Meghan in two years' time, after several other show concepts were rejected. However, Page Six reveals that one particular proposal has gained traction, involving Prince Harry returning to his roots in Africa.
The Duke of Sussex has a well-documented connection to the continent, having been involved in various charitable and wildlife conservation projects in countries such as South Africa, Botswana, and Lesotho. A source informed the newspaper that Harry feels a strong bond with Africa and considers it a second home.
Previously, Prince Harry ventured into the world of Apple TV, where he starred in a series focused on mental health called "The Me You Can't See." Interestingly, the couple had visited South Africa and Botswana together on their third date, and Prince Harry had helped establish the charity Sentebale in Lesotho, working alongside the brother of the country's King to support vulnerable children.
During his gap year in 2004, Prince Harry formed a special bond with six-year-old Mutsu Potsane in Lesotho. Later, he invited Mutsu and other children to his wedding with Meghan Markle in 2018.
Sources familiar with Harry and Meghan's Netflix deal have expressed optimism, stating, "Things are great. We value our partnership with Archewell Productions." Meanwhile, the Sovereign Grant confirmed that the Sussexes have vacated their former residence at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, although the identity of the next tenant remains undisclosed.
