Prince William has ample reasons to feel upset with Harry and Meghan. After all, Harry openly stated that his brother and father were trapped in their roles within the royal family. He even accused the British people of racism.
Harry divulged numerous private details about his brother, revealing intimate conversations and more. Let's not forget Meghan's falsehood about Catherine making her cry when, in reality, it was the other way around. Prince William finds it increasingly difficult to trust his younger brother, especially given Meghan's penchant for dishonesty.
Harry and Meghan's actions have left irreparable damage. They have cast aspersions on their grandparents, father, brother, and the entire royal family since relocating to sunny California. They made the final years of their grandparents' lives miserable, spreading lies and grievances against the royal family. Astonishingly, they believe that it is they who deserve an apology. In my opinion, it is Harry and Meghan who should be offering apologies.
William possesses great strength, but it's doubtful he can ever truly forgive the pair for the troubles they have caused. The rift between them seems insurmountable. Moreover, Harry's claim that he was treated unfairly is preposterous.
William was always treated favorably, and expecting apologies from everyone for that is unrealistic. Harry's envy towards his older brother is palpable, particularly now that William is the Prince of Wales with a guaranteed future and financial stability.
Megan's influence on Harry is highly inappropriate. She is not the right partner for a fragile man like him. Harry's deep-seated insecurities are only amplified by Meghan's presence, leading him to become angry and vindictive. While Harry believes he is owed an apology, it is he who owes an apology to his entire family. When Meghan eventually abandons him, he will need his family by his side. Therefore, he should hurry up with those apologies. Until that happens, I find it unlikely that this rift can ever be healed.
Whatever the king may hope for, it is improbable that William will ever truly reconcile with his younger brother. While he may maintain a polite façade in public, Harry's trustworthiness has been shattered. It's doubtful that William will engage in any meaningful conversations with him again. In fact, William might be hesitant to express his true thoughts on Harry's behavior since Meghan entered his life. The dynamics have certainly changed, and not for the better.
Harry will likely take his grievances to the media, and I suspect he may even entertain the idea of confronting William physically, although he would likely be cautious to ensure no embarrassing objects like dog bowls are present. Beyond the hurtful things Harry has said and done to his family, I believe what upsets William the most is how Harry and Meghan have treated Catherine, and that is why he will never be able to forgive his brother.
Renowned royal expert Ms. Julia San has also chimed in, stating that she is certain the king is well aware that it wouldn't be safe for William to reconcile with Harry. Harry has proven himself untrustworthy and is not seeking to mend the rift between them. The monarchy must be safeguarded, and one day, William will assume the throne without Harry by his side. Although Harry may eventually reside in the UK again, he will be kept at a distance and will not be privy to any confidential matters.
The reality is that what has been said and done cannot be undone, rendering Harry's feelings and potential apologies irrelevant. He seemed more than willing to share his sentiments, even documenting them in his book. There is no path back to royal life for him, although he may be allowed to attend private family events if the other members agree to it.
I don't blame William for wanting nothing to do with Harry. Harry has proven himself to be disloyal time and time again. Just when we think he has hit rock bottom, he finds new ways to attack William, his beautiful wife, and his precious children. He has shown immense disrespect towards all of them, and he made their grandmother's final years a living nightmare. His latest actions and statements continue to worsen the situation.
On the other hand, I suspect that Charles still holds a soft spot for Harry. Harry is like a prodigal son, and I believe Charles would welcome him back if Harry genuinely sought reconciliation. However, Megan would not be allowed to return, but I don't think that will pose a problem as Megan's interest in Harry seems to be waning.
It appears he has distanced himself from her for now and is reportedly in Africa working on a documentary for Netflix. Perhaps during his time there, he will have an epiphany and realize the gravity of his actions. Unfortunately, as long as Harry has money or continues to make money, Megan will not let him go.
That will only happen once she has fully exploited him. I fear Harry is addicted to her, and breaking free from that addiction will be as challenging as overcoming alcoholism or drug addiction. He won't be the one to initiate a clean break; she will either drive him to his demise or bleed him dry before discarding him.
Returning to the main issue, Charles still loves both of his sons and naturally desires for them to have a harmonious relationship. As a father and king, he feels a responsibility to maintain stability, as further disruptions could have severe consequences for the monarchy. Currently, William has no such obligations, and let's be honest, brothers fight and argue even in the best of families.
However, when those disputes involve one's wife and children, the stakes are much higher, leading to greater fallout. Time may heal wounds, but sometimes the divide becomes too vast, particularly when one brother, in this case, Harry, is consumed by irrational jealousy towards the other, William, who will eventually ascend to the throne.
At present, William lacks the will to mend the relationship, and truthfully, I can't blame him.Apologies must come from Harry, and they should be public and sincere. However, I have serious doubts that such apologies will ever materialize, especially considering he is entangled with such a malevolent figure, someone who harbors an irrational and intense jealousy towards William's beautiful wife, Catherine.
It's truly disheartening how Harry transitioned from being his brother's closest confidant to becoming his adversary. Harry places the blame for everything wrong in his life squarely on William's shoulders, and he aired these grievances publicly.
William had to witness Harry's attacks on their cherished grandmother, Prince Philip, Catherine, and even himself. Some of the words spoken and actions taken during that time likely shattered the possibility of them ever regaining their once-close bond.
