Scandal over photos of half-n^ked Jennifer Aniston

The actress filed a lawsuit against a paparazzi who took photos of her from a "great distance". Brad Pitt's ex wants to be paid and prevent the images from being released.

Jennifer Aniston sued a paparazzi that she would have violated her privacy, having used a telephoto lens to photograph her in her house while she was half-n^^^^.

The lawsuit, filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleges that photographer Peter Brandt must have seen Aniston "from a great distance through hostile, intrusive and unlawful means."

The photos "could only have been taken with intrusive intent" and in a location where she had reasonable expectations of privacy, the 36-year-old actress, who starred in NBC's "Friends," alleges.

Aniston is seeking monetary compensation and an injunction to prevent Brandt and anyone else from making money off the images.

The Los Angeles Times was unable to reach Brandt for her comment. Celebrity photos of her have appeared in People magazine and the New York Post.

Aniston had previously sued another photographer for allegedly climbing a 10-foot wall to photograph her sunbathing topless in her backyard. The images later appeared in various publications.

Francois Navarre, owner of the Los Angeles paparazzi agency X-17, paid Aniston $550,000 two years ago to settle an invasion of privacy lawsuit, but she did not admit to any wrongdoing.

The actress's latest lawsuit comes as the Los Angeles County attorney general's office investigates whether increasingly aggressive celebrity photographers are starting fights to capture lucrative images.

Actresses Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson and Lindsay Lohan have complained of run-ins with paparazzi in recent months.
