It's quite amusing to compare the grandiosity of the words used back then to their current situation. The exposure they have faced has exposed the pomposity and self-importance of these grifters.
It's genuinely hilarious, but it also sheds light on the corruption and deceptive PR tactics employed by a certain segment of the elite media. The bolded parts of the write-up made me burst out laughing.
It's all so fake! Can you imagine Meghan's ego inflating to the size of Uranus and Jupiter as she read those pompous lies about herself? It's unforgivable to the liberal elites that Meghan's awfulness has unraveled the charade and exposed the fraudulent PR we often witness.
There's a famous TV interview featuring Harry, the Duke of Sussex, from a few years ago when he served as an Apache helicopter Gunner. While commenting on some royal news, there was a sudden bang, and a group of soldiers rushed behind him. In a swift motion, Harry stood up, ripped off his microphone, and ran toward the action. This sense of urgency now seems to drive Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, who has long been an active humanitarian and a powerful advocate for women and girls worldwide.
The work they do is truly soul-nourishing. In a 2016 essay, Meghan wrote, "Springing into action is not an easy choice for a young Duke and Duchess who have been blessed through birth and talent and burned by fame. It would be much safer to enjoy their good fortune and stay silent." But that's not who Harry and Meghan are.
They turn compassion into tangible action through their R-12 Foundation. They amplify the voices of the voiceless through media production, hand in hand with non-profit partners. They take risks to help communities in need, offering mental health support to black women and girls in the US and providing aid to those affected by natural disasters in India and the Caribbean.
However, it's worth noting that the videos and photos of Harry in Afghanistan were reportedly part of a PR campaign, as confirmed by the US and UK military personnel who shared his base, as well as a frontline reporter. It turns out that Harry never qualified as an Apache pilot and never saw combat. Whenever danger approached, "Bunker Harry" would retreat to his private bunker, guarded by SAS Gurkhas, and safely engage in playing video games until the danger passed. It's worth mentioning that the Sussexes had real war hero Trevor Colt's YouTube channel demonetized for making a video that confirmed these details.
Harry and Meghan are like the former popular couple from their senior year of high school. Once they stepped into the grown-up world, they proved to be worse than mediocre. Now, they are desperately trying to relive the glories of their senior year. Secrets are emerging, revealing that most people despised them, that their contributions to society were minimal, and that they were terrible students who relied on others to do their work and simply bought their way into popularity.
A barely-there, minimal, and modern ensemble of discrimination emerged, preventing Meghan and Harry from joining the royal family on the balcony. Some may find it challenging to recognize racism in such a subtle choice.
The entire incident criticizes the royal family for relegating Harry and Meghan to sit with the minor royals, seemingly due to racism. The New Yorker also explored Harry and Meghan's love story last December, ending with a quote from Meghan: "This is the love story of a boy and a girl who were meant to be together."
I can't help but remember these details without a sense of irony. In light of the truth about these conniving and selfish individuals who bothered the Queen, I sincerely hope that the New Yorker improves its standards and employs a writer who conducts thorough research. Most progressives aren't fooled by someone who talks about our issues—feminism, racism, etc.—and receives awards for it while being motivated by petty jealousy and narcissistic rage.
There's more talk about being a powerful advocate for women and a humanitarian, but can anyone provide concrete evidence of tangible achievements? How many women has she directly helped to regain employment? How many abused women did her charity assist in finding new housing? How many girls did she support to stay in school and obtain an education? How many small businesses did she help start and run by women?
From what I can see, they've only handed out small sums of money, always riding on the coattails of other organizations' work while taking credit for it. They distribute copies of their subpar books and demand donations to Archewell in return. She took credit for the Grenfell cookery book, despite only writing the foreword. She also claimed credit for designing a working wardrobe and bags for women returning to the workplace, yet it was entirely the project of Smart Works and Changes. She merely lent her name to the capsule wardrobe, so again, it doesn't count.
Oh, and she distributed a few bags of supplies to sex workers with empowerment messages involving bananas. Her 40th birthday "40 by 40" initiative was an excruciatingly embarrassing failure. So, what has she actually done to prove her alleged humanitarian and advocate credentials? I can't think of anything.
A spectator commented, "Journalism is so dead." The Peace Prize and even the Nobel Peace Prize itself have become mere jokes. How embarrassing it is to have ever written any of this PR-driven, unverified drivel.
Remember when they awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to President Obama in anticipation of his future achievements on the international stage? Eight years later, there was no way to justify it, given his military interventionist politics and drone strikes on unarmed civilians. Whatever his accomplishments as the President of the United States, world peace was not one of them.
Then, these two came along and received glowing press and adulation for merely sending out a press release. The media was so eager to shower them with accolades without bothering with facts or tangible results.
