What's Netflix's Plan? Meghan's New Effort Falls Flat: Pouring Cold Water on Bad Manners

What's Netflix's Plan? Meghan's New Effort Falls Flat: Pouring Cold Water on Bad Manners

In the latest PR news from the United States, it appears that Meghan and Harry are collaborating on a new Netflix project called Bad Manners.

According to multiple sources, they aim to delve into the Victorian world of Charles Dickens with a prequel to his 1861 novel, Great Expectations, focusing on a feminist version of Miss Havisham.

One can't help but question the seriousness of this endeavor. The idea of basing a project on Great Expectations seems far-fetched. It seems they had their own great expectations when they arrived in the US.

However, despite receiving substantial financial backing, they have yet to produce anything truly exceptional. It's hard to fathom that a second installment has already been commissioned.

What's particularly striking is the evident absence of good manners from both Meghan and Harry. Now they want to teach us about good manners? Perhaps they should go back to school and learn what good manners truly entail before attempting to instruct others.

Their behavior has shown a complete lack of the former and an abundance of the latter, with their lies and bitterness toward the royal family and even Meghan's own family.

So they want to address bad manners? Does that include lecturing about the importance of saving the Earth while flying in private jets? It appears to be a case of "do as we say, not as we do." I can't help but wonder if this project will actually take off or if it will simply be another idea that falls by the wayside.

A leading expert on Dickens has also weighed in on Meghan and Harry's plan to create a prequel to Great Expectations centered around Miss Havisham. Dr. Emily Bell, an English professor and editor of the prestigious Dickens Fellowship's journal, The Dickensian, believes that Meghan and Harry lack the literary knowledge and skills necessary to bring such a program to life. She suggests that the couple has no original thoughts or ideas between them.

In fact, it's doubtful that either of them has even read Great Expectations or any significant literary masterpiece. It's safe to say that Harry would struggle to read a coloring book. Neither of them truly comprehends the dedication and hard work required for success, as they seem to spend their time globe-trotting and wasting opportunities.

Dr. Bell added that she has the impression that Meghan spends her days scouring the internet for recycled ideas, whether it be fashion worn by previous generations of royalty or celebrities, political concepts, or subjects for books, TV, or podcast series. She fails to grasp the fact that if something is already on the internet, it has already been done. Meghan lacks originality and seemingly underestimates the intelligence of others.

As for Harry, he lacks ideas altogether and seems rather clueless. The truth is, neither of them possesses exceptional imagination or talent; they simply happen to be very fortunate. Harry was fortunate to be born into his family, and Meghan was fortunate to have ensnared him. Their lack of foresight is evident.

Their decisions were driven by the misguided belief that the world would automatically adore them. However, being likable and possessing some form of talent are prerequisites for garnering such affection, both of which Meghan and Harry lack.

This proposed prequel to Great Expectations seems like a colossal mistake. It brings to mind Keira Knightley's disastrous portrayal of Elizabeth Bennett in Pride and Prejudice—an utter disservice to Jane Austen. Dickens and Austen understood the customs and manners of their respective eras. How dare Meghan and Harry attempt to impose a 21st-century perspective on the works of these literary giants? But then again, they tend to do as they please, so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.

The notion that they can enhance a classic like Charles Dickens' Great Expectations is absurd. Their egos are inflated beyond reason. What have they truly accomplished? Nothing. If they were genuinely passionate about something, they would have a wealth of great ideas and the drive to act upon them. This Great Expectations concept is cringe-worthy. It has disaster written all over it.

Moreover, anyone who has delved into Dickens' works knows that his characters lack detailed backstories and multidimensional personalities. That was deliberate. Dickens used each character as a representation of specific issues, be it class differences or unfair laws. They were meant to embody ideas, not be fully fleshed-out individuals. How can Meghan and Harry presume to tell the story of a character for whom Dickens intentionally left gaps?

Their desperate attempts to stay relevant are nothing short of embarrassing. But given their nasty and vindictive behavior, they are reaping what they have sown. It's crucial to tread carefully in this situation. If the criticism and loss of projects persist, they may find themselves back in the UK, seeking support from the public purse. Of course, it wouldn't be fair to burden the royal family with their presence again, so let's hope they find a way to remain in the US.

We could say that Meghan had great expectations when she set out to marry a prince, believing she could effortlessly capitalize on a lifetime of fame and fortune without actually putting in any work. She vastly overestimated her own value and assumed she could match the late Queen—a notion the Queen surely saw through.

I still recall that fateful panel interview where Meghan spoke of hitting the ground running, implying that others had been moving too slowly for her taste. Yet, when we fast-forward to today, it becomes evident that Meghan is all talk and no action, which is why they find themselves floundering.

Meghan thrives on the work and creativity of others, lacking original thoughts of her own. This new idea they're floating is merely a ploy to test the public's reaction. How much money has Netflix paid for this rubbish? It astounds me. A couple with limited education, no substantial job history, experience, or expertise, and yet Netflix believed they could produce something worthwhile. I simply can't comprehend it. It truly amazes me when I consider the multitude of talented individuals out there who could have been given this opportunity instead.

It's disheartening to see talented individuals out there striving for a breakthrough while Meghan and Harry rake in millions. Perhaps they should have continued as working royals, where their platform and resources could have made a genuine difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Many people are currently suffering, unsure of where their next meal will come from or how they'll keep their lights on. In comparison, the complaints coming from Meghan and Harry seem incredibly petty. Unfortunately, they are unable to see beyond themselves and their own concerns.

One can't help but wonder what the folks at Netflix are thinking right now. This project is poised to expose the recklessness of their program commissioners, and I fear their stock value will plummet. There's no evidence to suggest that Meghan and Harry possess any talent for creating compelling dramas. They have no clue what they're doing, and Netflix stands to lose a substantial amount of money. Hopefully, Netflix will eventually wake up and follow in the footsteps of Spotify by severing ties with the duo.

Meghan and Harry must be running low on their remaining millions. Consider the exorbitant costs they incur hiring lawyers, security personnel, and constantly replenishing their staff. On top of that, they have a mortgage and ongoing property expenses that won't be covered by their failing projects. It's my hope that Netflix is wise enough to reject this idiotic endeavor. Meghan and Harry simply lack the talent and ability to succeed in such a venture. Moreover, they have repeatedly demonstrated their unwillingness to put in the necessary hard work. How many more times must Netflix be burned by them before they decide to cut ties for good?

Personally, I have no intention of watching anything Meghan and Harry produce for Netflix or any other platform. This includes their ill-conceived archetype series and anything related to the Invictus Games. After what transpired during the last event, with Meghan's actions and the disappointment of not showcasing the events, I have lost all trust in them. As the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."
