Adam Lining and Gene Klein Deal a Blow to Meghan Markle's Career with Suits Reboot Ban

Adam Lining and Executive Gene Klein dealt a blow to Meghan Markle's career aspirations by barring her entry into the Suits reboot. Following her high-profile return to Hollywood through lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify, Meghan Markle seemed to be eyeing a comeback on the small screen.

The former actress turned British royal was reportedly contemplating a return to her acting roots, with the full support of her husband, Prince Harry, as insiders claim. Sources suggest that Markle's desire to re-enter the acting scene was partly fueled by the enduring popularity of Suits.

It appears that reruns of Suits have sparked a demand from fans to see Meghan back in action. According to an insider, she's feeling the pressure to maintain her standing in the industry as other opportunities seem to be drying up. With her sights set on a potential acting comeback, Markle reportedly enlisted the services of Hollywood's fixer, Adam Lining, in her pursuit.

Before her tenure on Suits, Meghan Markle had been involved in smaller projects, including appearances in General Hospital, CSI, The League, the Knight Rider reboot, 90210, and even a toasty toast commercial for Dior. Now, she seems determined to make a serious return to acting. However, rumors have circulated that she allegedly attempted to manipulate viewership numbers for Suits reruns through WME's connection to Netflix.

While Markle's intentions for a comeback are evident, not all comments have been positive. Some critics argue that her acting skills were subpar, with remarks claiming that she played herself on the show and exhibited behaviors that were seen as narcissistic, rude, and dishonest. Despite her past role, some viewers seem skeptical about her suitability for larger parts in other shows.

As for Suits itself, its series executive producer, Gene Klein, expressed skepticism about the feasibility of reboots and reunions. He hinted that Markle's return to the show might not materialize, particularly after her purportedly exorbitant demand of $5 million for a brief five-second appearance.

The producers, perhaps influenced by her tarnished reputation, decided against entertaining her request. While Klein acknowledges multiple factors contributing to the show's streaming success, he refrains from attributing it solely to Meghan Markle's involvement.
