Eugenie Reveals BRF's Desire to Bar Meghan Markle from Queen's Death Anniversary

Amid the British royal family's summer retreat in Scotland, a controversy has emerged regarding Meghan Markle's potential exclusion from the Queen's death anniversary commemoration. King Charles and Queen Camilla are currently enjoying their summer break in Scotland, and they were recently seen attending a church service at Crafty Kirk.

Charles, 74, and Camilla, 76, are expected to welcome family members to Balmoral Castle in the coming days. However, this Wednesday marks the final day when the public can visit the castle's grounds, gardens, and exhibitions. King Charles had reportedly extended the summer opening hours to the public, causing a slight delay in the royal family's stay at Balmoral.

Traditionally, the late Queen Elizabeth II would arrive at the estate in early August, accompanied by a pipe band and hosting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren during the summer retreats.

Princess Eugenie has fondly shared memories of Balmoral, describing it as "the most beautiful place on Earth" and highlighting her grandparents' happiness there. She spoke of Highland walks, picnics, and the abundance of dogs, emphasizing the family's presence and cherished time together.

Notably, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, have not received invitations to the Queen's death anniversary plans, even though they are expected to be in the vicinity the following day. A source with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed this snub, stating that the Sussexes have not been informed or invited to participate in the memorial.

One reason behind the royal family's decision to exclude their estranged relatives is that the memorial is not considered a formal Royal event. Prince Harry has been involved in most formal events since his departure from London in 2020, including Queen Elizabeth's funeral and his father's coronation involvement. However, when events are not deemed formal or family-oriented, he is no longer considered a member of the Royal inner circle.

Honoring the queen on this occasion holds deep personal significance for every family member, and they plan to attend the cozy family event. Prince Andrew is among those expected to participate.

While not receiving an invitation is not ideal, it's preferable to outright exclusion. It's clear that Harry and Meghan's previous actions have strained their relationship with the royal family. One particularly significant moment was when King Charles reportedly told Prince Harry not to bring Meghan Markle to Balmoral Castle to visit the dying Queen due to concerns and family tensions.

This conversation occurred during a phone call from the Queen's bedside, where Harry was informed that it was not the appropriate time for Meghan to be at Balmoral, especially considering Kate was not going either. Charles made it unequivocally clear that Meghan would not be welcome.
