Game Over: Prince Harry's Name Removed from Royal Website, Duke in Distress

On the Royal Family's official website, Queen Elizabeth II is referred to as 'Monarch' a staggering 74 times, whereas other Royals are still addressed by their former titles. Interestingly, Prince Harry is still referred to as 'His Royal Highness,' despite the 2020 agreement that he would no longer hold this title.

It seems that a few pages on the website haven't been updated to reflect the recent changes in the monarchy after the late Queen's passing, and this oversight is raising some eyebrows.

This lapse in accuracy hasn't gone unnoticed, and Royal expert Athwa Hagen has expressed disappointment, calling for necessary corrections to be made. The website should be an accurate and reliable source of information for the public, and these inaccuracies are causing concern.

For instance, Prince Harry's dedicated page still introduces him as the 'younger son of the Prince of Wales,' even though Prince William is now the Prince of Wales. Moreover, Prince Harry's use of the 'His Royal Highness' title, which he relinquished in 2020, is also still present on his page, going against the agreement he made when stepping down from senior Royal duties.

Even the pages dedicated to royal residences, art, and history contain errors. While Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle have been updated to reflect the new monarch, Clarence House, the home of the king and queen, still refers to them by their previous titles. Similar inconsistencies can be found on other pages, including those related to Commonwealth nations.

In essence, while the Royal Family website appears to be up to date at first glance, closer examination reveals a web of inaccuracies that need addressing. The accuracy of this platform is crucial, especially as it serves as a key source of information for the public. These discrepancies undermine the credibility of the Royal Family's online presence, and it's high time these inaccuracies are rectified.
