Following their second split, Prince William had initially expressed the need for both of them to "find their own way" and "grow up." However, it later became evident that he no longer found their relationship as enjoyable as before, as he believed the element of 'fun' had dissipated.
According to insights from Katie Nicholl, Kate Middleton felt "humiliated" when Prince William started seeking his own form of amusement by frequenting nightclubs, often surrounded by a multitude of young women.
Close friends of Kate disclosed that a heated argument ensued between the couple, during which the Duchess of Cambridge accused Prince William of tarnishing her image with his behavior. One friend explained, "Kate told William that he was making her look bad."
Kate went on to issue an ultimatum, making it clear that she would no longer tolerate his behavior. "She has endured years of other girls pursuing her boyfriend, and for a while, she found it somewhat amusing and even flattering. However, his recent behavior was a breaking point, and she gave him an ultimatum," a source revealed.
In no uncertain terms, Kate conveyed to him that his carefree actions in public were not only diminishing his own image but also negatively impacting hers. Unlike in the past when she may have overlooked such incidents, this time, she was deeply bothered by it.
The couple's relationship had reached a critical juncture, with Kate asserting her boundaries and making it clear that she wouldn't allow herself to be treated as a doormat any longer.
