King Charles' Cruelty to Prince Harry: A Surprising Mistake by the Kind Man

King Charles' Cruelty to Prince Harry: A Surprising Mistake by the Kind Man

In the midst of family turmoil, King Charles and Prince Harry's much-anticipated "peace talks" seem less likely to materialize than ever before.

Perhaps King Charles was deeply unsettled by Prince Harry's recent revelation in his memoir, "Spare," which exposed a host of familial issues and portrayed his wife, Camilla, in a less-than-flattering light. However, some argue that even in the face of such revelations, a touch of compassion could go a long way.

Renowned royal author Tessa Dunlop spoke about King Charles, describing him as "actually a kind man" during an interview on the To Di For Daily podcast, as reported by Express.co.uk. She also acknowledged that "we all have failings."

Dunlop expressed her preference for a more public display of "forgiveness" from King Charles, as she does not perceive Prince Harry's memoir as an attempt to "bring down his dear Papa."

According to Dunlop, while Prince Harry has described his father as "inattentive," he also portrays him as a father who doesn't "undercut his son" and instead "shows sympathy." She added, "I want him to do his best again."

The expert further opined, "I felt that [Charles, William, and Kate] could have offered the hand of reconciliation and displayed the forgiveness that the situation requires, especially considering that Harry's actions have been quite public and somewhat covert. Personally, I would have preferred a more public gesture of reconciliation."

Dunlop explained that in a country steeped in its own history, it can be "very difficult to take on an institution, particularly if it's one your own family belongs to."

While Dunlop acknowledges that Prince Harry's approach may not have been the wisest, she believes that he does not deserve to be subjected to cruelty from his father or family. She expressed her inner conflict, stating, "I still feel conflicted.

I feel that he did something quite brave, albeit in a slightly foolish manner, and I want Charles and William to recognize their larger, more important, better-funded positions and extend that hand of reconciliation across the Atlantic, much like the Biblical image of Jesus walking on water.
