Meghan Markle 'Battling it Out' with Prince Harry's 'Disdain' for the Press

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appear to be engaged in a subtle battle over the media spotlight, with Harry reportedly harboring a strong disdain for the press. These claims have been brought to light by royal commentator Daniela Esler, who analyzed the evolving dynamics within the Sussex household in her recent piece for News.com.au.

In her article, Esler draws an intriguing parallel between the Royal Family and reality TV stars, labeling them as "nationalized Kardashians," a comparison she makes due to the prevalence of divorce and scandal in both circles.

In the context of this comparison, she remarks, "The only thing separating Her late Majesty and Kris Jenner, according to this way of thinking? Several layers of fake tan, a few $100,000 Hermès Birkins, and the fact that Jenner has never been forced to make awkward small talk with a Prime Minister."

This perspective contrasts sharply with the traditional view held by the Windsors, who have historically regarded the scrutiny of the press and public as an obligatory part of their role, and the celebrity that accompanies their titles as regrettable and somewhat uncouth.

Meghan Markle, however, seems to have a different outlook on the matter, as suggested by reports from Page Six, which indicate that she desires to "live her life" despite the persistent presence of cameras and media attention. In contrast, Prince Harry's aversion to the press appears to run deep, almost at a cellular level, reflecting a profound antipathy toward media scrutiny.
