Meghan Markle Envious as Late Queen Grants HRH Title to Louis, But Archie Gets Neglected

Megan Green with Envy as Late Queen Bestows HRH Title on Louis, While Archie Gets Neglected. Queen Elizabeth's decision to bestow the noble HRH (His Royal Highness) title on Prince Louis, but not on Archie, has left Megan feeling envious.

When Prince William and Kate welcomed their son Louis into the world, he was initially not given the official HRH title. However, Queen Elizabeth intervened and changed the rule set by King George V back in 1917, which allowed all of William and Kate's three children, including Louis, to receive the HRH title.

The original rule excluded great-grandchildren from receiving such titles, but the Queen extended the change to ensure that all of William and Kate's children were addressed as prince or princess. This move ensured that Charlotte and Louis, although further down the line of succession, also held the HRH title.

However, this same change was not applied to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son, Archie. During their interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Megan revealed that the decision impacted their son's security. They had reportedly expressed that they didn't want Archie to be given an HRH title, as they wanted him to have a more normal life like Harry's cousins, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall.

While Megan explained that this decision was against protocol, she also expressed concern over the impact on Archie's security. The couple claimed that discussions about Archie's title and security occurred during Megan's pregnancy, leading to tensions within the royal family. As a result, Megan now feels that Archie was neglected in comparison to Prince Louis, who was bestowed with the HRH title.
