Grant Harrold, who served as King Charles' former butler, shared insights with Spin Genie, revealing that Prince Harry has become notably elusive since his decision to step back from his royal responsibilities. Harrold noted, "I know quite a few of Harry's friends, who don't hear from him at all now."
This growing divide became particularly evident when Prince Harry failed to attend the July wedding of his friend Jack Mann, despite having participated in the wedding party and being declared Mann's "unofficial best man."
The strain has also extended to Prince Harry's relationship with Prince William, with tensions escalating after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their grievances within the royal family public. Harrold lamented the transformation of their once-vibrant friendship, saying, "They were both very sociable boys... And that's what's so sad about it now, how they've gone from best of friends to non-existent really. They have become so distant."
Harrold fondly recalled the earlier years when the two princes were known for their camaraderie. "I mainly worked with them when they were approaching their late teenage years and twenties," he reminisced. "I liked the way they got on. They played practical jokes and wound each other up, but it was harmless. They had the same friends, too. You'd see them in the pubs together. It was a great time for them.
