Meghan Markle Secretly Incorporates 'Something Blue' in Her Wedding Dress: A Unique Twist

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, added a special touch to her wedding dress by incorporating her 'something blue' in a unique and sentimental way. For her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, Meghan chose a stunning Givenchy dress designed by British designer Clare Waight Keller.

In an interview, Waight Keller revealed that Meghan paid tribute to her first date night with Prince Harry by reusing the same blue dress she had worn during that memorable evening.

The designer explained, "We basically sewed it into the hem of the wedding dress, so she was the only one that knew that it was there. It was a little blue gingham check," referring to the subtle 'something blue' tradition.

Waight Keller continued, "It was the perfect personal memento that was secretly hidden inside the dress." Meghan herself confirmed this detail in an HBO documentary titled 'Queen of the World' in 2018.

While inspecting her wedding dress for the first time since her royal wedding day, she said, "Somewhere in here there’s a piece of blue fabric that’s stitched inside — it was my something blue. It’s fabric from the dress that I wore on our first date." This charming detail added a sentimental and personal element to Meghan's wedding attire.
