Meghan Markle Sent to Chicken Coop by Veterans Over 'Ironic' Invictus Comment

Meghan Markle Faces Criticism for Ironic Message Ahead of Invictus Games. Meghan Markle is facing criticism for an apparently ironic message she is set to deliver as she prepares to join Prince Harry at the Invictus Games. The Duchess of Sussex will join Prince Harry in Düsseldorf for the multi-sport event he founded in 2014.

According to Prince Harry's biographer, Angela Levin, Meghan is scheduled to deliver a personal message to the wounded, injured, and sick service men and women who will be competing in the event. Levin finds it ironic that Meghan plans to focus her message on courage and resilience, qualities she believes Meghan does not embody.

This criticism follows Prince Harry's teaser for his upcoming Netflix documentary, "Heart of Invictus," centered around the games. The documentary trailer featured Harry speaking about his experiences in setting up the initiative and his relationship with veterans. Notably, Meghan was absent from the video, leaving it uncertain whether she will be missing from the actual show.

Levin observed that in the teaser, Prince Harry seemed more like his former self, appearing to be in better spirits. Soldiers who have interacted with him during the project noted that he had given them a renewed sense of purpose. It's speculated that the documentary might help Prince Harry in coping with his own mental health challenges, a possibility he acknowledged to Levin.

The documentary crew for "Heart of Invictus" accompanied Harry and Meghan during their visit to the games in the Hague, Netherlands, in 2022. This marks another step in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's transition away from their royal roles, a shift that experts believe signifies a complete distancing from the royal family.

PR expert Karen Elsey commented on this transition, noting that it signals a new chapter in their lives, one that is characterized by their move away from the traditional royal identity. Elsey emphasized the importance of shaping public perception through initiatives like "Heart of Invictus," suggesting that focusing on the Invictus Games can help the Sussexes maintain a positive public image while avoiding potential royal drama.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's strategic approach appears to be centered on projecting a constructive and positive narrative, allowing them to foster unity and optimism in their post-royal endeavors.
