Meghan Markle Soars to New Heights, Independent of Prince Harry's Wings

Former "Suits" star Meghan Markle has made a significant career decision, opting to professionally distance herself from her royal husband, Prince Harry, a move that many consider to be a substantial gamble.

The Duchess of Sussex finds herself at a crossroads, facing advice from those who caution her about the potential pitfalls of pursuing her professional endeavors without leaning on her royal status.

A royal expert has weighed in on what they perceive as a "huge risk" for Meghan in terms of her future professional trajectory.

Earlier this year, Meghan took the step of signing with a new talent agency, WME. Notably, this agreement only encompasses her own career and does not include her husband, Prince Harry.

Meghan's choice to chart her own professional course gained momentum when Archewell, the organization she co-founded with Harry, severed ties with Spotify in June, signaling the end of her podcast, "Archetypes." Furthermore, her Netflix project, "Pearl," faced cancellation.

In contrast, Prince Harry has been actively involved in the production of his new documentary, "Heart of Invictus," which recently premiered on Netflix. He appears to be shifting his focus more towards philanthropic initiatives in the future.

Royal commentator and podcaster Kinsey Schofield, speaking on her "To Di For Daily" podcast, offered insights into Meghan's decision. She noted, "I certainly think that Meghan has advisors guiding her towards the belief that separating from Prince Harry and the royal drama could be a positive move for her career." However, Schofield reminded us that Meghan initially gained recognition as a working actor, not as a celebrity or household name.

She asserted that Meghan's ascent to fame was significantly accelerated through her association with Prince Harry, who provided her with an unprecedented platform. Schofield expressed that people may be more forgiving of Prince Harry because of his long-standing connection with the public, which began when he was a young boy and has continued as he returns to his royal responsibilities. She emphasized that Harry's dedication to positive endeavors is likely to shield him from harsh criticism.

Meghan's decision to distance herself professionally from the individual who elevated her to stardom is viewed by some as a daring gamble. Kinsey Schofield, drawing from her background as a former PR professional, questioned the advisability of such a move, suggesting that it could be a risk she may come to regret.
