The Duchess of Sussex is said to be preparing for a comeback on Instagram, with experts suggesting she could command as much as a million dollars for each post. This move has generated significant buzz within Hollywood.
Meghan, known for her role in the TV series "Suits," previously had a joint Instagram account with Prince Harry, @sussexroyal, which had amassed 9.4 million followers. However, it was deactivated in 2020 when the couple stepped back from their senior royal roles. Now, she's believed to be the driving force behind a new account, simply named @meghan.
A source close to Meghan's team confirmed this development, stating, "Yes, that's her. Expect an announcement very soon. She's coming back."
Several of Meghan's friends, including activist Mandana Dayani, who was the president of Archewell, the media and philanthropic company founded by the Sussexes, are already following her new Instagram account.
According to an insider, "Everyone in Hollywood is talking about the re-launch being imminent. Meghan has never made any secret of the fact she wants to return to Instagram."
Before her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan had over three million followers on her personal Instagram account. Additionally, her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig, attracted tens of thousands of dedicated fans.
Meghan had previously hinted at her return to Instagram in an interview with The Cut, where she revealed, "Do you want to know a secret? I'm getting back on Instagram."
With 76,000 followers already, experts believe Meghan's social media presence could significantly boost her finances. Eric Schiffer, a social media expert, predicts that Meghan could become one of the most followed accounts on Instagram, potentially commanding substantial fees for promotional posts.
Marketing expert Kent Moore adds, "I think she would instantly shoot into the top ten highest-paid influencers in the world. Her status is unique because she is a celebrity, actress, and royalty. Meghan could charge a million dollars per post as an absolute minimum, and this figure could rise rapidly with global coverage and successful partnerships."
However, experts also emphasize the need for Meghan to be selective in her brand endorsements and align with those that resonate with her political and social beliefs, given her status as a former duchess.
