Following a drop in their popularity in mid-June due to the collapse of their Spotify deal, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to have found stability with their upcoming projects on Netflix.
Netflix, known for its hit series 'The Crown,' is gearing up for its sixth season, which will portray a pivotal moment in royal history – the tragic car crash involving Princess Diana. However, an executive producer for 'The Crown' has assured that they will approach this sensitive topic with care.
In light of this, Patrick Christys from GB News labeled Harry a 'hypocrite' for remaining silent about Netflix's portrayal of such a traumatic event, especially given his previous statements expressing his fondness for 'The Crown' on James Corden's show.
Christys pointed out that many viewers take what they see in the show as factual, which raises questions about Harry's silence.
Royal expert Charles Rae suggested that Harry's reluctance to comment might be linked to his lucrative million-dollar contract with Netflix. Rae stated, "I doubt he will speak out, considering he is still receiving substantial compensation from Netflix. It would be surprising if he were critical."
He continued, "It could be seen as hypocritical if he refrains from doing so. While he readily shares his views on many other matters, his financial ties to Netflix might be influencing his stance. After all, a significant portion of his income currently comes from the streaming platform.
