Within two days, Prince Harry will be heading to Germany to kick off the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.
In the past, Meghan and Harry had access to Frogmore Cottage, which would have likely been Prince Harry's accommodation for this visit. However, following a decision by the monarchy to have the Sussexes vacate the property earlier this year, Prince Harry had to return the keys. With no official residence in the UK now, The Telegraph reports that Prince Harry will need to seek permission if he wishes to spend a few nights in a royal home.
This news coincides with recent reports that both the King and Prince William have no plans to meet with Prince Harry during his visit, and Prince Harry does not intend to see them either. Sources have indicated that relations between Prince Harry and the royal family remain strained, particularly in the wake of the allegations and accusations made in Harry's memoir. Reconciliation between the two parties, if it is to happen, appears to be some time away.
While some might suggest that it would be beneficial for the family to address their differences, perhaps even in memory of the late Queen, it seems that such a resolution is still a long way off. It's worth noting that Prince Harry was last in the same room as his family in May when he traveled from the U.S to attend the King's coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6.
