Prince Harry's Hurt as King Charles Responds Briskly to Balmoral Plea, Dismissing Him as Queen's Grandson

Prince Harry Feels Hurt by King Charles' Direct Response to His Balmoral Plea, No Longer Recognizing Him as the Queen's Grandson.

As previously reported, speculation has arisen regarding King Charles III and Queen Camilla's plans to gather numerous family members at Balmoral Castle on September 8th, marking the first anniversary of Her Majesty's passing. Curiously, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, despite being in the vicinity the following day, have yet to secure an invitation.

An informed source speaking to Page Six on Tuesday confirmed the exclusion, shedding light on the situation. The insider disclosed that the founders of Archewell have not been apprised of the commemorative arrangements tied to the anniversary.

One potential explanation for the royal family's apparent lack of urgency in inviting their estranged relatives lies in the informal nature of the memorial event. Not designated as a formal royal affair, this distinction may have enabled King Charles to circumvent any obligation to extend an invitation to the Sussexes.

A noticeable departure from Prince Harry's active involvement in significant formal events since his departure from London in 2020, including Queen Elizabeth's funeral and his father's coronation, signals the widening chasm between him and his family. The source suggests that this marginalization has effectively excluded Harry from the royal inner circle.

The same source emphasized the deeply personal significance of commemorating the queen's memory for all family members. It is expected that every royal member, with the exception of Harry and Meghan, will partake in the intimate family gathering. Notably, Prince Andrew's participation underscores the sentiment that receiving an invitation, even under these circumstances, is preferable to being left entirely uninvited.

As the date aligns with the commencement of the Invictus Games on the 9th, speculations abound regarding Meghan's potential plans for the 8th. Options include using the day for a high-profile arrival, possibly with the children, and generating pre-event publicity. Alternatively, the couple could engage in promotional activities related to their Invictus Games content on Netflix, which is scheduled to premiere on the 8th.

In light of the evolving dynamics, Prince Harry's exclusion from the guest list signifies a broader trend. Experts contend that the removal of his His Royal Highness title and the repositioning of Harry and Meghan on the royal family tab serve as visible indicators of his diminishing role within the family structure. This shift, while gradual, reflects the ongoing distance between Harry and the rest of the royal household.

Royal correspondent Robert Jobson characterizes these changes as part of a deliberate strategy by King Charles to allow tensions to settle. He notes the absence of effective communication between father and son, which has led to strained relationships with Prince William and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as well as the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine.

Jobson suggests that the website update, stripping the Sussexes of certain titles, was a measured move rather than a vindictive one, signaling Harry's diminishing standing within the royal hierarchy
