Suits Exec Gene Klein Reveals Meghan Markle Was Fired and Written Out of Suits BEFORE Dating Harry

There has been substantial coverage about the show "Suits" breaking Nielsen's streaming viewing records. Interestingly, Meghan, who was a supporting actress for seven out of the nine total seasons, received more attention than the lead actors in various PR articles and social media posts by entertainment industry outlets.

However, during an interview, Gene Klein, who served as a non-writing producer throughout the nine-season run of the show, didn't mention the Duchess of Sussex at all when discussing its success on streaming services like Netflix and Peacock.

Klein expressed his surprise at the show's enduring popularity and how it has become one of the biggest shows on the planet. He noted that he anticipated a burst of viewing when it came to Netflix but didn't expect the level of success it achieved.

The show has continued to attract audiences, and Klein attributed this to both the appeal of the show itself and the power of streaming platforms.

Regarding Meghan's departure from the series, it was revealed that she was written out of "Suits" even before she met Prince Harry. The series creator, Aaron Korsh, had already decided to write her character, Rachel Zane, off the show a year before Meghan's relationship with Harry began.

Korsh explained that he didn't want to intrude on Meghan's personal life and knew that her relationship with Harry was burgeoning. So, a natural exit was crafted for Rachel Zane's character, who got married to Mike Ross, played by Patrick J Adams, in season seven. The two of them moved to Seattle to open the Eagle Clinic.

This decision was made long before Meghan's actual departure, and it dispels any notion that she was fired or written out due to her relationship with Prince Harry. In fact, during Meghan and Harry's wedding, several "Suits" cast members were invited to the church but not the evening reception. This further supports the timeline that Meghan had left the show well before her relationship with Harry began.

Meghan Markle's departure from "Suits" was a creative decision taken by the show's creators long before she met Prince Harry, and it had nothing to do with her relationship with the royal family."
