During their recent trip to Europe, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took 14 flights in just a week, a fact that has raised eyebrows and sparked criticism. Royal expert Daniela Elser, in an article for news.com.au, pointed out that while Meghan and Harry are undoubtedly engaged in charitable activities, their actions do not necessarily match the level of attention and admiration they receive.
Elser argued, "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex seem to aspire to be recognized as global humanitarians, but their deeds have yet to align with the grand rhetoric and attention they attract. They are far from challenging the likes of Bill and Melinda Gates or Greta Thunberg for their positions."
She continued, "While it's understandable that everyone needs a break, spending almost as much time lounging by the pool as they did at the Invictus Games, particularly in Meghan's case, may not strengthen their standing on the global stage or within the United Nations."
In essence, the criticism suggests that Meghan and Harry's actions may not fully support their image as high-profile humanitarians, raising questions about the alignment between their public image and their charitable efforts.
