Rumors had surfaced last month, indicating that the father-son duo was gearing up for 'peace talks.' According to OK! Magazine, an insider claimed that King Charles had rearranged his schedule to create time for a meeting with his son in London.
Now, a royal insider has disclosed that King Charles has issued an ultimatum to his younger son, making it clear that he is willing to call for a truce in the midst of their ongoing feud. The source, speaking to Bella Magazine, emphasized that the King "draws the line at public conflicts."
Since stepping away from the Royal Family in 2020 alongside his wife Meghan Markle, the Sussexes have publicly criticized the Royals for their alleged discriminatory treatment towards them. The relationship deteriorated further when Prince Harry released his tell-all memoir, "Spare," in which he portrayed his father and brother, William, in a negative light.
"The King deeply cares for his son, but he has been deeply hurt by Harry's actions," the source explained. "While he will always be there for him, he has no intention of engaging in public disputes."
Regarding the potential peace talks, the insider added, "If the discussions go ahead, the King will make it abundantly clear that private family matters should not be aired in public moving forward. Efforts are being made to finalize the details."
Additionally, the source revealed that The Palace is working on a 'special program' to honor the new King, featuring key members of the royal family expressing their love and affection for him. However, there is reportedly a 'strict ban' on 'any mention of Meghan and Harry' in the program.
