Instead of joining the Queen for this important family occasion, Meghan and Harry, who have faced persistent rumors of marital trouble, opted for a backyard picnic at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
Burrell revealed that the day after Lilibet's birthday, the Queen inquired whether they might come up for tea again, only to be informed that the couple had returned to the United States. She was taken aback and expressed her surprise at not receiving a proper farewell.
This situation left Queen Elizabeth feeling "confused" and questioning how such an offense could occur towards the monarch. Burrell posed the question, "How could you offend our Queen?
