Prince Harry Who? William's Striking Response to the Crowd at Queen's Anniversary Confirms Sussexes' Erasure

Who's Harry? Prince William's impactful response to the crowd during the Queen's anniversary event confirmed the diminishing presence of the Sussexes. William and Kate were met with enthusiastic applause as they arrived at the Cathedral for the special service marking the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's passing.

The Prince and Princess of Wales held a small private service in Wales, arriving at Saint David's Cathedral in West Wales shortly after 1:30 pm to honor the occasion. The crowd erupted into spontaneous applause at the sight of the royal couple, with one well-wisher exclaiming, 'You're doing a great job,' and another chiming in with 'Lovely to see you.'

Approximately 300 well-wishers had gathered in the cathedral grounds. William was dressed in a dark blue suit, while Kate stunned in a burgundy dress by Eponine, complemented by a hat from Sarah Millinery, and wore earrings that once belonged to the late Queen.

Although Harry and Meghan were notably absent from the memorial service, some fans attempted to mention their names. Excited supporters shouted, 'You two are doing great, very good, you do all the right things, don't worry about Harry and Meghan.' William responded with a hearty laugh and quipped, 'Who are you talking about? Okay, thank you, thank you.' Fans were amused by the crowd's playful reference to Meghan and Harry and William's light-hearted response.

This wasn't the first instance of public snubs directed at Meghan and Harry from senior members of the Royal Family. During a recent visit to the University of East London, King Charles faced a heckler who shouted, 'Bring back Harry, please!' When the king didn't respond, the heckler added, 'Can you bring him back, sir?' Charles chuckled and moved on without giving a clear answer.

Returning to the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's passing, the Prince and Princess of Wales participated in a short private service, which included a commemoration of the late Queen's life led by The Very Reverend Dr. Sarah Roland Jones.

She addressed the congregation of around 20 guests, saying, 'It is particularly poignant to welcome you here, Your Royal Highnesses, on this solemn day—the first anniversary of the death of Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth. Today, countless numbers will be remembering her with both sadness and great affection, giving thanks again for a long life of dedicated service, as we do here.'

Following the service, Kate and William placed a bouquet of white roses before a framed picture of the late Queen. Kate appeared to curtsy briefly, and both stood in reflection for some time, with William looking somber and Kate visibly moved. A portrait of Queen Elizabeth was prominently displayed at the Cathedral in anticipation of their arrival.

Earlier in the day, the King and Queen attended a private church service at Crathie Kirk near Balmoral Castle. Kate and William had already paid tribute to the late Queen on Twitter, sharing a message that read, 'Today, we remember the extraordinary life and legacy of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

We all miss you,' accompanied by a family photograph featuring the late Monarch surrounded by her great-grandchildren, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as well as her two youngest grandchildren.
