Prince Harry's Solo Visit to Windsor Castle: The Reason Behind Meghan Markle's Absence

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, recently made a visit to Windsor Castle with a special purpose—to pay his respects to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, on the first anniversary of her passing. This visit was confirmed by royal expert Matt Wilkinson, who shared the news on Twitter. 

Wilkinson reported, "New: Prince Harry has visited St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle today on the anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, it has been confirmed."

St. George's Chapel, specifically the area known as the King George VI Memorial Chapel, serves as the final resting place for the late Queen Elizabeth II. The Telegraph also reported that Harry had traveled to St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle for this private visit.

Prince Harry, who had returned to the UK for the WellChild Awards on the preceding Thursday, took the opportunity to pay a heartfelt tribute to his grandmother during his speech at the event.

 He expressed, "I know, exactly one year on, [my grandmother] is looking down on all of us tonight—happy we are together—continuing to spotlight such an incredible community."
