Prince William Rejects Meghan Markle's Royal Accommodation Plea: Putting an End to Her Illusion

Prince William Rejects Meghan Markle's Royal Accommodation Plea: Putting an End to Her Illusion

Prince William has put an end to Meghan's royal accommodation hopes once and for all. Meghan Markle made a plea for her royal accommodation, but her request was firmly denied by Prince Harry's brother. Prince Harry, while discussing the matter, admitted that Meghan was "very upset" that she couldn't accompany him to the UK for the WellChild Awards.

Reports from Mirror revealed that during the event, Prince Harry spoke with the family of Ruky Anighoro and shared Meghan's desire to be by his side as he delivered a speech to ill children and the audience. However, her busy schedule in the upcoming week prevented her from joining him.

Notably, Prince Harry's visit to the UK was brief, as he soon jetted off to Germany for the 2023 Invictus Games, where Meghan would eventually join him.

The event honored Ruky with the Special Recognition award for his remarkable resilience while managing school life amid multiple surgeries for brittle bone disease. During the ceremony, Prince Harry praised Ruky's talent and expressed his admiration and respect for the parents and caregivers of children facing health challenges.

This situation sheds light on Meghan's desire for grander accommodations, which has been evident since the couple's transition to a life outside the Royal Family. They recently handed back the keys to their former home, Frogmore Cottage, in the heart of Windsor Estate, after officially leaving the UK.

Interestingly, it's been suggested that the Sussexes initially sought a completely different property altogether. However, Queen Elizabeth denied their request and instead gifted them Frogmore Cottage. Reports indicate that they had wanted to reside in Windsor Castle itself, asking if living quarters within the castle could be made available to them after their marriage.

At that time, only Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip occupied private quarters within the castle, while other members of the royal family lived elsewhere on the estate. The Queen gently but firmly suggested Frogmore as their residence instead.

Despite being gifted Nottingham Cottage by Queen Elizabeth, Meghan reportedly found Frogmore more impressive and switched residences after their marriage. She expressed her preference for a grander abode, despite Nottingham Cottage being the smallest property at Kensington Palace. In their Netflix series, Meghan and Harry made subtle comments about Nottingham Cottage, remarking on its small size and low ceilings.

However, it's worth noting that their comments appeared to downplay the residence's significance, as they indicated that they were living in a palace, albeit in a cottage on palace grounds. Meghan even claimed that Oprah Winfrey was stunned by the size of their home, asserting that no one would believe it.

In Harry's memoir, he strategically omitted references to their stays with other members of the royal family, including Prince William and Catherine. Acknowledging Meghan's enjoyment of those moments would have contradicted the narrative they were trying to convey—that they were treated poorly by the royal family.

In reality, the royal family had made efforts to make Meghan feel welcome, which she seemed to overlook until after her marriage. This realization only came after she had the wedding ring on her finger, highlighting the complexities of their relationship with the royal family.
