Britney Spears' Book Achieves Milestone as 'Highest Selling Celebrity Memoir': Singer Expresses Gratitude to Fans

What a fantastic accomplishment! Not long after her book was released, Britney Spears exclaimed over the extraordinary success of "The Woman in Me."

It's taking place! The mother of two exclaimed, "My book is the highest selling celebrity memoir in history and it's only day 1!!!" on Tuesday, October 24 on Instagram. "I want to thank all of the fans for their incredible support! Love to all of you.

The pop star's memoir explores a number of shocking subjects, including her experiences during her father's contentious conservatorship and her high-profile relationships, as OK! previously reported.

One of the most talked-about revelations is her confession about having an abortion during her romance with Justin Timberlake, whom she dated from 1999 to 2002.

"I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day," she confessed. "This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated."

"But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young," continued the blonde beauty. "I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby. I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father."

To keep the matter a secret — even from their parents — Spears' assistant provided her with pills to take at home.

The superstar vividly recalled enduring "excruciating cramps" and finding solace in the bathroom, where she spent hours lying on the floor, sobbing, and screaming.

"Justin came into the bathroom and lay on the floor with me," she added. "At some point, he thought maybe music would help, so he got his guitar and lay there with me strumming it."

The former lovers also weathered the storm of mutual infidelity, but Spears was "devastated" when the *NSYNC alum ended their relationship with a text message. She described feeling "comatose" after the breakup, while Timberlake, 42, appeared to be "happily running around Hollywood," seemingly capitalizing on their heartbreak.

Spears also offered insights into her fling with Colin Farrell and her unsuccessful marriage to Kevin Federline, the father of her two children.

The superstar explained that any man she dated had to undergo a rigorous set of tests.

"When someone wanted to date me, the security team who answered to my father would run a background check on him, make him sign an NDA, and even have him submit to a blood test," she disclosed in her book. "The whole thing was humiliating, and I know the insanity of this system kept me from finding basic companionship, having a fun night out, or making new friends — let alone falling in love."
