Undoubtedly, Prince Harry longs for the rekindling of his old friendships. Yet, Bourman acknowledged that frequently traveling from California to London to see friends would mean spending time away from his wife and their children, Archie and their 2-year-old, Lilibet.
This could potentially lead to discord at home. Bourman stated, "Megan is frustrated that Harry wants his old life back. Megan loves Harry, but she is determined to help him evolve and is clear about the role they should play together in their projects. People are eager to see a transformed Harry rather than a return to his previous partying lifestyle, which could attract undesirable media attention."
There were previous discussions about Harry and Meghan securing a place to live in their home country, following their move out of Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate. However, claims of leasing a royal residence have been denied by Buckingham Palace. Despite not having a permanent UK residence, what could keep Harry returning to the UK, according to Bourman, is his strong bond with childhood friends. He acknowledged that convincing Meghan to allow him a "boy weekend" in London with his old Eton buddies might be a challenge, as she expects him to be by her side, supporting her and looking after their children.
Bourman emphasized that, despite Megan's frustration over Harry's homesickness, their relationship remains strong. He even mentioned that they managed to get away for a few days in Portugal after their appearance at the Invictus Games.
