The Duchess of Sussex has found that companies are more eager to collaborate with her husband, Prince Harry, according to an unnamed source.
Harry is not signed to WME, but Meghan is. Although Meghan is their only client, they are addressing the couple's reputation, the source acknowledged.
They went on, "Unless she comes with Prince Harry, nobody is that interested." "While it's evident that Meghan only got to where she is now because of her association with Harry and the royal family, there have been discussions about promoting Meghan in her own light."
As speculation swirls about Meghan's next professional move, The Royal Observer has reported that experts suspect the former "Suits" star might be quietly working on a book.
Entertainment journalist Mark Boardman raised the prospect that Meghan's memoir could spark controversy and reignite debates regarding her relationship with the royal family, especially if she chooses to unveil previously undisclosed details.
Boardman pondered whether publishing her life story might be a lot for her fans to digest, particularly in the wake of their Netflix series. "Any further revelations or 'bombshells' about her time as a royal could impact her career and reputation in various ways, with a comeback becoming nearly impossible," the reporter noted. "Nonetheless, such a memoir still has the potential to be a significant moneymaker, both in terms of book sales and potential media deals."
It's worth noting that Prince Harry's book, "Spare," recorded the most first-day purchases for any non-fiction book published by Penguin Random House. Boardman believes Meghan's narrative could achieve similar success. "Meghan Markle has the potential to earn a substantial amount from her memoir, ranging from several million dollars for the advance alone to tens of millions or more when factoring in royalties, international rights, and related opportunities. A prominent public figure like Meghan Markle can secure substantial advance payments from publishers," Boardman explained.
Apart from her potential autobiography, there have been speculations, as previously reported by OK!, that the Sussexes might venture into the orbit of the Kardashian family to expand their reach.
However, some industry insiders remain skeptical about this collaboration. "If they go down that route, they diminish their own brand, undermining the allure they had when they first came into the spotlight," a source cautioned. The commentator underscored that the financial benefits might outweigh Meghan's concerns, saying, "Why wouldn't you seek to align yourself with one of the most successful brands in existence in order to shape your own narrative? It's not an unwise idea."
Interestingly, a source with ties to the Kar-Jenner clan indicated that Kris Jenner hopes for a potential royal cameo on "The Kardashians." "It’s no accident that the Kardashians share social circles with Meghan's new connections," the source divulged. "A partnership between the two families seems quite promising, but Kris doesn’t want to push too aggressively, too soon."
"Even if it's just a brief appearance, it would be a significant victory for Kris. The business side is already in motion and appears highly lucrative," they added.
