According to Paul Burrell, Princess Diana's former butler, as reported by Daily Mirror US, the Queen was genuinely impressed by Meghan's background as a thriving actress in the popular legal drama series, Suits.
Queen Elizabeth went to great lengths to make Meghan feel at ease, to the extent of offering her the opportunity to continue her acting career while being a member of the royal family. Burrell revealed, "The Queen was very gracious and very kind to Meghan. She even said to Meghan, 'You can continue acting if you like, continue your career.'"
However, Meghan decided to decline this generous offer, a decision that became evident during her and Prince Harry's engagement interview. Meghan expressed her desire to focus on her new life as a member of the royal family alongside Prince Harry, viewing it not as a sacrifice but as a natural transition to a new chapter.
She shared, "I don't see it as giving anything up, I just see it as a change." Meghan also acknowledged the significance of her seven-year stint on the show, Suits, and felt a sense of accomplishment as she approached the 100-episode milestone. She believed it was time to shift her focus and work as a team with Prince Harry in their new life together.
