Megxit in Despair: Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Lose All Support from Netflix Amid Back-to-Back Flops

Prince Harry's most recent Netflix documentary faced challenges in securing a spot among the top 10 shows on the streaming platform after its release on August 30. This has led many critics to speculate that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may be losing some of the support they previously enjoyed.

Their earlier docu-series, "Harry and Meghan: Heart of Invictus," followed the journeys of several athletes as they prepared for the Invictus Games, an event initiated by Prince Harry in 2014 for wounded or injured service members. The show also provided a platform for Prince Harry to open up about his mental health challenges, while Meghan Markle was seen supporting him.

PR expert Carla B. suggests that Prince Harry's five-episode series differed significantly from the sensationalized nature of their previous documentary with Meghan. According to her, this was one of the reasons for the lukewarm reception.

She explained, "He won't lose support because the Harry and Meghan documentary was really sensationalized. It was released at the time when Prince Harry's memoir, 'Spare,' was getting a lot of attention, not to mention the Oprah interview. All of that created a lot of buzz and speculation. But 'Heart of Invictus' is quite different. It's a serious and powerful series."

Carla further indicated that Prince Harry took a deliberate approach to avoid extensive promotional press tours. She believes that this approach was taken to keep the focus on the veterans and the significant work being done, rather than involving the documentary in the ongoing media scrutiny. She stated, "Harry didn't go on a press tour, and that was a carefully considered decision. It was the right choice, as this series is about the veterans."

Unfortunately, "Harry and Meghan: Heart of Invictus" did not manage to make it to Netflix's top 10 charts in both the US and the UK during the week of its release. Some critics even labeled the show as a "flop."

Prince Harry served as an executive producer for the series, and his organization, Archewell, was listed as the production house behind the show.
