Prior to her decision to wed Prince Harry, Meghan Markle appeared to have a successful business strategy that could have brought in millions of dollars.
The Suits actress and a friend have registered a trademark for a name for their confectionery back in 2012.
According to documents that TMZ was able to get, the Duchess of Sussex registered the name "Lali" as a trademark in order to market luxury lollipops.
But the plan was shelved at the beginning of 2014, probably because of her busy schedule filming Suits, in which she played paralegal Rachel Zane from 2011 to 2018.
The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry got together later in 2016 after being introduced by their common acquaintance Violet von Westenholz.
The couple's first date took place at the London Soho House's Dean Street Townhouse.
The Duke of Sussex remembered their initial conversation on their Netflix series, saying, "Meghan and I met over Instagram." A friend of mine shared this video of the two of them when I was going through my page; it looked like a Snapchat.
Meghan continued: "Oh gosh, isn't that whole thing it's got like doggy filters, and that's what he saw of me."
Harry continued: "That was the first thing, I was like: 'who is that?'"
