Omid Scobie's "Endgame," a literary work that explores the Sussexes and the royal family, purports to document that Princess Eugenie, the progeny of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, allegedly sought information regarding their grandmother's condition by communicating with her cousin Prince Harry. This correspondence transpired as Prince Harry hurried to Balmoral Castle, the Queen's place of residency, in an urgent attempt to be present at her side prior to her demise. Queen Elizabeth passed away unhappily prior to the arrival of Harry.
Notably, the royal family consists of eight descendants, of which Prince Harry was not the only one. Considering the unsuitability of his abrupt arrival at Balmoral, it is possible that he boarded the initial flight departing the following morning. According to Scobie's book, Princess Eugenie, a close friend of the Sussexes who has maintained a relationship with them since their relocation to Montecito, inquired about the Queen's condition beyond what had been disclosed to her.
Nevertheless, an inquiry emerges as to why Princess Eugenie would seek updates on the Queen's health from Prince Harry, particularly considering his restricted communication with the Queen during her last moments and his decision to reside outside the United Kingdom in order to maintain a professional distance from the royal family. In addition, Prince Andrew, the father of Princess Eugenie, was en route to meet the Queen, providing her with firsthand knowledge from members of her own family.
Scobie further asserts that Prince Harry failed to secure a flight with Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, which is an untruth. It was ensured that the entire family, including Sophie, Countess of Wessex, could board the flight. Prince William is even seen in a video accompanying the family to Balmoral after they disembark from the aircraft at Aberdeen Airport. Following this, Prince Harry embarked on a private jet journey to Aberdeen in his own right, devoid of Meghan. Notably, Harry boarded his aircraft at Luton Airport, while the remaining members of the royal family descended at Northolt.
Additionally, Prince Harry has asserted that he was not personally informed by the family of the Queen's demise; instead, he received a phone alert regarding the matter. This further complicates the rationale behind Princess Eugenie's request to Harry for health updates.
Furthermore, a close acquaintance of Princess Eugenie expressed her displeasure at being coerced into reading Scobie's book.
