Meghan Markle Faces Boycott Over Poppy Wearing and Alleged Disrespect to Troops

They were both dressed in black, Meghan accessorising her fitted pantsuit with a black banner and a bright red poppy pin. Harry also had a poppy pinned on his jacket lapel.

Around the world, wearing poppies is customary during November to honour remembering days, such as November 11th's Armistice Day, which honours those who have given their lives while defending their countries during times of conflict. In the UK, people wear poppies throughout November long, including members of the royal family and the general public. Remembrance Sunday is a major national ceremony commemorating the lives of fallen warriors, and it is celebrated with a service at London's Cenotaph War Memorial.
