Meghan Markle Fumes as Judge Denies Her Request to Testify via Zoom in Sam's Lawsuit: Gratitude Abounds, Your Honor!

Samantha Markle and Meghan Markle's legal struggle in Florida has recently received an update. The case will return to court on November 8 (or November 9, for our Australian readers). It has been reported that Meghan requested that her court appearance be held via Zoom, but her request was denied. This necessitates her physical presence, and her attorneys' trip to Florida.

Chief Justice Charlene Edwards Honey Wells stated earlier this year that she would not hear arguments on the portion of the lawsuit involving Omid Scobie's book but would hear arguments about the interview with Oprah. I don't understand why Meghan is so adamant that we hold our court hearings via Zoom. There can be a few different explanations for this. To begin, Meghan may wish to exert as much influence as possible over the story's direction. She has a reputation for sticking to the script and may have trouble responding to unplanned legal inquiries in court.

In reality, being a lawyer and playing one on TV are two different things, but Meghan's experience playing one on TV (in the program "Suits") may have given her a false sense of security. Possible contributing factors include Meghan's desire to avoid seeing her sister Samantha, who may divulge embarrassing details during the trial.

In addition, Meghan may wish to have the Zoom meeting recorded for use later or as evidence. On the other side, Samantha seems to want to increase Meghan's legal fees by forcing all of her attorneys to present in court.

The case has very little validity and may be thrown out of court. Some may be impatient to hear Meghan's explanation of her behavior in the under-oath interview, but the case's resolution is still up in the air.

Note that this is Samantha's third attempt to prevent the dismissal of the lawsuit; if she fails, the case will be dismissed. Meghan's privacy may be compromised if Samantha is successful and a discovery procedure is opened, which might result in the disclosure of her phone records, emails, and other communications. In July of 2024, the trial is scheduled to begin.

Meghan has been accused of bias in the past, namely of trying to make people view Samantha in an unfavorable way. Meghan's denial of participation with Omid Scobie's book is suggestive of a cover-up attempt. These activities may constitute defamation, and the judge or jury may question Meghan's honesty during the trial.
