This call, which was meant to be a warm and private exchange between family members, saw Meghan Markle also joining in. It was even reported that the Sussex children sent their grandfather a video message, singing "Happy Birthday."

Despite Harry and Meghan's usual insistence on privacy, it seems that this heartfelt gesture made its way into the newspapers. A Sussex source, however, denies any involvement in the leak and considers it a warm attempt at reconciliation between the estranged royals. This phone call was their first chat in six months, following the announcement of Harry's Memoir.

While Page Six reported Harry's desire for a better relationship with his father, palace insiders confirmed that no calls occurred due to the King's busy schedule. Meghan's friend, Omid Scobie, revealed that Meghan has been in contact with King Charles, even sending over photos of their children, Prince Archie (4) and Princess Lilibet (2). However, the source close to the Palace clarified that Meghan doesn't have a direct line to the king, hence the photos being sent to the king's office.

The authenticity of these children's identities is unclear. Additionally, Meghan has reportedly requested an allowance from the king by sending emails, but there has been no response from the palace office.

It's evident that Harry and Meghan are eager to improve their relationship with Charles, potentially for financial support.
