Reflecting on that moment, he expressed immense difficulty and the lifelong regret of not realizing it would be their final conversation. The heart-wrenching nature of such circumstances is unimaginable, particularly for a young boy. While recent events may impact one's sympathy for Harry, it is important to acknowledge the profound pain he endured as a child.
Therefore, it raises an obvious question: Why would Harry willingly subject himself to reliving such a traumatic night—the night he lost his beloved mother? Why would he choose to tune into a show that capitalizes on the pain and trauma he experienced at such a tender age? Although the portrayal is fictionalized, it represents Harry's own life, making it all the more distressing to witness.
Furthermore, Royal commentator Angela Lan believes that Harry will be even more upset with the depiction of the scene where Charles informs the boys about their mother's tragic passing. Lan points out that Harry has openly discussed the aftermath of the accident and the emotional distance he felt from his father during that time. He has emphasized the lack of physical affection and support, which he wished his father had provided. However, "The Crown" takes liberties once again, portraying a caring and affectionate interaction between Charles and his sons, disregarding Harry's own account. These discrepancies highlight the show's disregard for Harry's experiences and further exacerbate his feelings of being overshadowed by his older brother.
Netflix, as Harry's employer, should be held accountable for their callous treatment of his family's life story, including his own life experiences. The question remains whether Harry will dare to confront his paymasters or if his desperation to retain his Netflix contract will compel him to endure the disrespect towards his mother and family in silence.
