An authority on the British royal family says that the Duke of Sussex, who is currently living in the United States with his wife and children, is not at all disappointed that he will not be attending the birthday celebrations of the British monarch next week. The expert went on to say that there has been no improvement in relations between Prince Harry and King Charles.
Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made several explosive charges against prominent members of the royal family following their departure from the Firm, the relationship between the father and son has worsened dramatically.
King Charles II, the father of Princes William and Harry, will turn 75 on Tuesday, and to mark the occasion, a party will be held at Clarence House with senior royals including Queen Camilla, Prince William, Princess Kate, and other members of the royal family.
A representative for the Sussexes allegedly claimed in a rare statement that there has been "no contact regarding an invitation," thus Harry will not be attending the family meeting in the UK.
In the words of royal family expert Richard Fitzwilliams: "It could certainly take years for a reconciliation to happen between Prince Harry and the Royal Family."
Fitzwilliams stated to the Daily Express: "Who would trust Harry and Meghan, especially after their timing releasing the news about not hearing anything about an invite to King Charles' 75th birthday celebrations hours before the King's first speech opening Parliament as Monarch."
Obviously, the Royal Family and courtiers dislike the Sussexes for repeatedly interfering with their plans in this way, he continued.
"I genuinely don't think Harry worries about not being invited to his father's 75th. The divide is profound. The Sussexes apparently continue to demand an apology from the British royals. It's hard to say what the future will bring. The specialist continued, "This is not a nice situation for King Charles to face.
